Kelli Richardson Lawson

My “why” for being a part of MU is so that I can play any part I can in creating a more peaceful world for my Black sons and all of our Black and Brown children. My life’s intention is to advance authentic joy in the world, and to do this, we must have peace, stability, and a world free of bias, discrimination, and hate – often directed at our Black sons.  I will do anything I can to stem the tide of anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders among our children  – often because of the systemic racism and intergenerational trauma that has existed for centuries – and I’m proud to be a part of the MU board that is working so hard on these issues.
